We are currently seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Public Health to support existing and new programmes. We are looking for an enthusiastic academic who will be required to plan and deliver lectures, supervise students' dissertations in addition to other responsibilities that contribute to students' engagement and success.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging lectures and seminars, ensuring that course content is relevant and up-to-date.
Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning experiences.
Assess student performance through examinations, assignments, and feedback, providing constructive guidance for improvement.
Collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum materials and contribute to departmental initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
Provide academic support and mentorship to students, fostering their personal and professional development.
Stay current with developments in your field and integrate new knowledge into your teaching practices.
Requirements
A degree in the relevant subject area or equivalent professional experience.
Proven experience in teaching or lecturing at a higher education level is preferred.
Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and motivating students.
Proficiency in IT, including familiarity with educational technology tools that enhance learning.
Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
