Lecturer in Quantity Surveying (On-site)

Within the range of 27,702 to 41,892 per annum, pro rata (working 17.5 hours per week, this equates to 13,851 to 20,946 per annum)

Starting salary subject to college salary assessment process

17.5 hours per week (up to 12 teaching hours and 5.5 preparation and other duties)

We are seeking a lecturer or industry professional with experience in Quantity Surveying to join our growing team, working on higher-level, professional qualifications in building technologies. As a college, we support Industry Professionals who may have decided they wish to move into an educational career, so if you have experience in Quantity Surveying, and want to share your knowledge and experience with the next generation of building professionals, we would love to hear from you!

The role is for a 0.5 lecturer (17.5 hours per week). Many of our construction professional lecturers are still in industry and combine self-employment with part- time teaching; we are happy to support this as we believe this benefits the learners through having lecturers with current industry experience.

The successful candidate will be working within our expanding team of professionals supporting the suite of higher-technical qualifications (HTQ) in construction with a focus on the Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Quantity Surveying.

This post is based at Suffolk New College Ipswich campus. However, Suffolk New College is a multi campus site therefore you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.

At Suffolk New College, we promote the culture of BeSNC. Implementing BeSNC is not just a choice; it's a commitment to providing the best possible environment for our learners to thrive. It's a commitment to nurturing an inclusive and supportive community where each student, staff and community member can reach their full potential.

Closing date: Sunday 21st September 2025 at Midnight
