Our Religion team is interdisciplinary: we study beliefs and practices through lenses that problematise global and local power relations and emphasise social justice. We are dedicated teachers: in the 2025 NSS, Religion, Theology and Philosophy students responded with a 100% positivity score for how good teaching staff are at explaining things. We have a growing body of postgraduate researchers and an exciting taught Masters programme. These are supported by the Centre for Religion in Society, a flagship research forum across the Humanities that has many international partnerships.
