About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Construction Teacher to deliver the
T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction
, with a focus on the
Surveying and Design for Construction and the Built Environment
occupational specialism. The ideal candidate will have practical industry experience and a strong understanding of construction design, surveying, and project planning processes.
As a Construction T Level Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that develop learners' knowledge, skills, and behaviours in line with the T Level framework. You will provide high-quality teaching, support, and assessment across key areas of the built environment, ensuring learners are well-prepared for industry placements and future careers.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for: Planning effectively and delivering high quality teaching, learning, assessment and support, leading to excellent attendance, retention and achievement.
To deliver formal scheduled teaching duties, tutorials (as appropriate) and student assessment.
To record, share and regularly monitor student progress using College information systems.
To prepare learning plans schemes of work, keep relevant records and undertake all administration relevant to teaching duties.
To attend parents' evenings, marketing and promotional events.
Requirements
You will need: Level 5 or equivalent Teaching Qualification such as Certificate in Education or PGCE or willingness to work towards this.
High level of specialist knowledge of the subject area
At least 2 years' experience in teaching the subject area to full-time or part-time students (Desirable).
Degree in relevant subject (Desirable)
