Lecturer Marine Electronic & Electrical Engineering

1-year Fixed term contract,
Full time, 35 hours per week

Salary: 41,838 - 50,359 per annum pro rata (Candidates holding TQFE will commence on 48,227)

As a professional member of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Nautical and STEM, you will be responsible for delivering accessible, modern, innovative, and fit-for-purpose learning and teaching packages throughout students' learning journey at the college.


To apply for this vacancy, you must have an HND or Degree Level Qualification in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or equivalent and demonstrable electrical/ electronics industry experience.



Experience of working on board ships (or offshore) as ETO or equivalent would be desirable as would a relevant trade qualification and a formal teaching qualification. A knowledge of Electrical Standards and IEEE/ IEC Regulations, experience of Electrical Health & Safety Legislations, and experience of Electrical Power/ Control Systems/ Instrumentation/ DCS are also desirable.


You must be self-motivated and reliant and have a desire to teach with excellent MS Office skills. You should possess effective interpersonal skills and be able to communicate learning to individuals with a variety of learning styles.
