Faculty/Directorate




The School of Nursing, Public Health and Healthcare leadership are growing our range of nursing programmes, developing exciting, innovative curricula which enable future nurses to be ready for the changing requirements of nursing. We work collaboratively with public health and healthcare leadership to offer a range of post graduate CPD opportunities for healthcare staff, and are looking to widen our subject expertise in mental health. We are looking for nurses with contemporary experience of mental health nursing practice to join our team.

What you will be doing:



Academic leadership of workstreams, module and / or programmes. Be an exceptional teacher, facilitating and delivering teaching, learning and assessment on undergraduate and post-graduate programmes. Working with students as a personal academic tutor and roles aligned to the NMC (2023) standards for student supervision and assessment. Working collaboratively, with team members, the University, students, and other stakeholders to ensure education is contemporary, interesting and promotes career aspiration and academic stretch. Undertake outreach and engagement activities in local communities/with employers and/ or at university events. Undertaking scholarship, which furthers your career as an academic, ensure you maintain professional registration. Undertaking appropriate professional development to respond to the changing requirements of the role

Qualifications/ experience:




You will be an NMC registrant: nursing associate or registered nurse, with either field registration or experience in mental health Nursing.


You will have a master's level qualification or above (or be willing to undertake/ be close to completing)


You will have contemporary experience of / awareness of national and local influencers on nursing, care and students.


Experience of teaching, public speaking, working in teams would be advantageous.


Experience of supporting and assessing students/ learners in the workplace
