Lecturer Motor Vehicle

Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer to join our growing team at Solihull College and University Centre. Primarily based at our Woodlands Campus, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning within our Motor Vehicle department, which is at the forefront of preparing students for careers in the rapidly evolving automotive industry.

You will be responsible for teaching Motor Vehicle programmes up to National Diploma Level, delivering engaging and effective lessons that support students in developing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Your input will also contribute to the continuous development of the curriculum to reflect current industry standards and practices.

To be considered for this role, you should hold a Level 3 qualification or above in Motor Vehicle Engineering. Ideally, you will have teaching experience and hold a Level 5 teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one. An assessor qualification would also be desirable. Strong communication skills, a student-focused approach, and a commitment to continuous professional development are essential for this position.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking team in a supportive and dynamic college environment, where your expertise and enthusiasm can make a real difference in shaping the future of aspiring motor vehicle professionals.

The College is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse community and welcomes applications from individuals across all sectors. We aim to reflect the diversity of our student population in our staff profile, ensuring that we provide the best possible experience and environment for our learners. Our goal is to continue to develop a vibrant, supportive, and inclusive workplace where all staff can thrive.

For the next stage in the process, you will be required to attend the College's premises, unless exceptional circumstances apply.

Solihull College & University Centre is committed to ensuring a safe environment for all students and expects all staff to engage fully with this commitment.
