Contract Type: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.




Location: Paignton, Devon





South Devon is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team of Lecturers. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-impact Re-engagement programmes designed for learners aged 14 to 19.



As a Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences across a range of personal, social development, employability, and life skills qualifications. You may also be involved in delivering or supporting the vocational elements of the curriculum.


Key Responsibilities:


Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions as part of the Re-engagement curriculum. Plan and prepare high-quality learning resources tailored to the needs of diverse student groups. Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of progress and achievement. Offer both academic and pastoral support to help re-engage learners and foster positive participation in education. Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal colleagues and external partners to support the ongoing development of the Foundation Learning Curriculum. Participate in quality assurance processes and maintain accurate documentation in line with institutional standards. Attend and contribute to meetings related to student support, referring and signposting learners to additional services as appropriate. Demonstrate flexibility and a deep understanding of the varied needs of students within the Re-engagement provision.
