Our School of Creative Arts is currently recruiting for 3 Lecturers/ Senior Lecturers in the following areas:

Acting for Screen (o.5FTE)


The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, delivery, and organisation of the BA (Hons) Acting for Screen degree. This position entails providing high-quality practical and theoretical instruction within a studio-based environment. The Senior Lecturer will play a significant role in the academic management and pastoral care of the program, while also offering support to the course leader. Teaching responsibilities will encompass Acting for Screen modules across levels 5 and 6, including module leadership as designated, along with contributions to various other components of the course.

Producing (0.5FTE)


This role will suit a candidate with specialist expertise in film finance, line producing and script development. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of our BA Filmmaking programme, supporting students in developing the practical, creative, and professional skills needed to succeed in the contemporary screen industries.

Delivering core teaching the programme, in both Lecture and workshop formats whilst bringing recent industry experience and fresh perspectives.

Film Design, VFX and Emerging Technologies (0.4FTE)


We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Film Design, Visual Effects and Emerging Technologies with expertise in post-production, design, and the future-facing practices shaping the film industry. The successful candidate will have professional knowledge in areas such as VFX, motion graphics, and Adobe Creative Suite (particularly After Effects), alongside engagement with emerging technologies including AI, XR, and virtual production.

The role will not only involve teaching and supervising student projects but also co-designing a new module, The Future of Film, which will explore the creative, technical, and ethical questions surrounding new cinematic technologies and practices.

Salary offer: Lecturer - 43,482 FTE per annum; Senior Lecturer - 48,822FTE per annum
