About the role
------------------
The main purpose of the job is to deliver teaching associated with the delivery of the MSc in Global Management of Natural Resources, working with the programme leader, other Lecturers, the teaching and learning team as well as Postgraduate Teaching Assistants in the Chemical Engineering department.
The main duties include leading on the delivery of taught modules associated with the MSc programme, the design, delivery of, and marking of assessment associated with those modules, teaching support for other modules associated with the MSc programme, support for fieldwork in the MSc programme and student support activities.
The salary is 21,972.40 - 25,857.60 (i.e. 40% of 54,931- 64,644) inclusive of London allowance pro rata per annum.
This post is offered part-time at 14.6 hours per week (0.4 FTE) and is fixed term for 2 years in the first instance.

About you
-------------
The ideal candidate should have a first degree in Chemical Engineering, Earth Sciences or equivalent qualifications and/or experience, knowledge of current practice within natural resource development: exploration, mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, and financing and economics of natural resources, knowledge of environmental and social practice related to resource developments, combined with excellent people skills and the ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues and external partners.
