Glasgow Clyde College is seeking an experienced fabrication and/or welding professional to join our Faculty of Future Technologies and Design. Our programmes are closely aligned with industry needs, and we pride ourselves on producing work-ready learners equipped with the technical skills, safety awareness and professional behaviours employers expect.
About you:
You must hold apprenticeship trade papers in welding and/or pipefitting, or a relevant professional equivalent
You will hold qualifications at SCQF Level 8, or be willing to work towards these with full college support
Teaching experience is welcome but not essential -- we encourage applications from skilled industry professionals considering a move into education
Candidates dual-traded in both pipefitting and welding are particularly encouraged to apply

The role:
Deliver hands-on, industry-relevant training in fabrication and welding, ensuring learners develop practical competence and confidence
Teach underpinning knowledge that supports safe, compliant and high-quality fabrication and welding practice
Contribute to the development of curriculum and learning materials that reflect current industry standards, codes of practice and awarding body requirements
Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality assurance and record-keeping in line with college and external body expectations
Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve learner outcomes and progression into employment or apprenticeships
