The College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare at the University of West London is a leading provider of healthcare education in Berkshire and West London. Mental health nursing courses are ranked 4th in the UK and 1st in London in the Guardian University Guide 2025.

The Role




This role would be part of the team that delivers our BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies -Top-Up award but would also be involved in the development, management and delivery of stand-alone modules across our wider CPD portfolio.


Develop high quality of teaching and learning materials to support the delivery of the modules and courses.


Deliver innovative teaching, learning and assessment strategies that enhance the student learning experience.


Working closely with the senior management and course teams, the post holder will provide support to students undertaking modules and courses within the College of Nursing Midwifery and Healthcare and to students/mentors in clinical environments.

The Person




As a member of the academic team, the post holder will assist in the development of the professional, academic, research and scholarly profile of healthcare disciplines in CNMH.


The role will primarily support students undertaking either the extended (18 months) or one year BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies Top Up award.


The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of clinical expertise in adult nursing clinical practice.


The successful candidate for the Senior Lecturer post will have a Master degree and for the Lecturer post will have a first degree.


They must be an Adult Nurse in the United Kingdom registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
