About the role:





Do you want to be part of one of the most exciting and high performing teams in the sector, helping to bring in more than a third of Macmillan's income, funding vital support for people living with cancer?



We're looking for a Legacy Promotions Officer to join our team to deliver high value, multi-channel legacy marketing campaigns, with a particular focus on acquiring new legacy supporters. Working collaboratively with others, this person plays a key role in building awareness and generating leads for our Free Wills Service, inspiring and engaging supporters, to secure future income from Gifts in Wills.



You'll take the lead on planning, delivering and evaluating campaigns, working closely with our partners and suppliers. Your work will be instrumental in driving future legacy income for Macmillan, ensuring we can continue to provide support for people living with cancer long into the future. The role is a great opportunity to build on your marketing skills in a large charity context.


A typical week in this role might include:





Meeting with our external media agency to discuss updates on status, optimisations and plans for campaigns.



Designing engaging creatives and copy for legacy campaigns, both independently and in collaboration with our design agency.



Contributing at regular team meetings with Acquisition team and wider Legacy and In-Memory Fundraising team.



Cross-team working with colleagues across Macmillan.



Monitoring campaign performance and flagging any issues with relevant stakeholders.



Reviewing results, reporting and sharing learnings internally and identifying optimisations where appropriate.



Managing supplier invoices, raising purchase orders and logging to ensure in line with budget



Attending weekly catch ups with your line manager to discuss any project issues, blockers and to keep them updated on progress.


About you:





The ideal candidate will have...



Marketing skills: A solid foundation of marketing or project management skills, developed in a professional environment



Results-focus: Experience monitoring the performance or progress of a project against targets



Analytical/Solution-focused: A proactive approach to identifying project blockers or underperformance and a collaborative approach to finding solutions



Time management: Experience delivering work to set schedules and budgets



Communication: An ability to communicate clearly with a range of different people including supporters, via email, telephone and in person



Relationship management: An ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and suppliers, which enable productive collaboration on projects.
