Rainer Hughes is an established legal 500 law firm based in Shenfield.

We are renowned for our services within litigation and dispute resolution, business law and personal law, and have been successful in setting many legal precedents and proceedings.

We have an opportunity for a dynamic, hard?working individual to join our growing team of Legal Admin Assistants.

This is a full time role providing support to our fee earners, so you will be able to get involved and learn all our areas of law. This is a broad role and would require providing full secretarial and administrative support across our departments including contentious and non-contentious law, dealing with audio and copy typing of documents and letters, diary management, speaking to clients on the telephone, file management and general administrative duties.

You will be dealing with everything from general admin tasks to more complex legal work, so this is an amazing opportunity for someone who wants to develop a career in law, or who would like to develop their skills further within a support role.

Main responsibilities:



Typing letters and producing legal documents such as wills, contracts and court papers, witness statements, briefs to counsel

Compiling notes dictated onto audiotape system

Chasing CPS, HMRC, and Courts for information

Answering telephone calls

Organising diaries and making appointments for fee earners

Preparing court forms and statements

Dealing with enquiries from clients

Attending Court to file applications form

Filing and organising case files

Sorting, prioritising and distributing incoming post

What you'll need:



Previous experience within an administration or secretarial role

Able to organise and prioritise your own workload, and be able to work as part of a team

To work quickly, accurately, to deadlines and under pressure

Competent with IT applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook

Strong written communication skills

Demonstrate a good understanding of client relationship management

Discretion, and the ability to deal with confidential information

Excellent attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 26,000.00-32,000.00 per year
