The Role:



The Paralegal / Legal Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the Legal Department by managing documentation, assisting with case-preparation and handling multiple administrative tasks. This role requires an individual with good organizational, communication and IT skills. Key Responsibilities:



Document Management: draft, review and manage legal documents such as court forms, pleadings and witness statements, ensuring all documents are properly filed and maintained in compliance with legal standards and requirements. Data Extraction: use in-house and industry-specific computer software to extract relevant data for use in legal documents. Case Preparation: assist the lawyers in preparing for hearings and other legal proceedings, including organizing case files, preparing legal documents and court bundles, carrying out disclosure exercises and coordinating witnesses and evidence. Stakeholder Interaction: handle routine correspondence with internal clients, third parties, law firms and barristers' chambers, gathering necessary information and documentation, and providing updates on case progress. Meeting Support: organize and maintain schedules for meetings, interviews and court dates. Take detailed notes during meetings and legal proceedings. General Administrative Support: perform various administrative duties such as filing, photocopying and answering telephones.

What You'll Bring:



Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field. Legal Knowledge: understanding of legal terminology, practices and procedures. Familiarity with the specific areas of law relevant to the organization, i.e. commercial law, employment law, dispute resolution/litigation. Research Skills: proven research skills with the ability to gather and analyse information. Attention to Detail: high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work, particularly in document preparation and review. Organizational Skills: exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Communication Skills: strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders. Problem-Solving: proactive in identifying issues and resourceful in finding solutions. Confidentiality: ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and, ideally, legal research tools. Previous experience working as a paralegal or in a legal support role would be desirable.
