Freelance Paralegal / Legal Advisor (UK-Based Only)

We are hiring an experienced freelance paralegal or legal consultant who can advise a fast-moving property company on UK tenancy, lettings, and contractual as well as legal matters.

About Us

We are a UK-based property and co-living company managing over 100+ units in Oxford, Coventry, and expanding to Manchester. We handle student and professional accommodation, tenancy contracts, landlord partnerships, and B2C rental operations.

We already operate with strict internal policy and SOPs. What we now need is

legal backup

on case-by-case matters - tenant disputes, contract enforcement, freelance agreement risks, etc. Someone who understands our world and gives clean, assertive advice fast, not long memos.

What You'll Do

Provide legal support and case-based advice on tenancy, housing, freelance contracts, or consumer disputes, etc Draft or review legal letters (e.g., breach notices, rent arrears follow-up, tribunal readiness) Advise us on employment structures, contract enforceability, or other commercial matters Support video call discussions or send short written advisories based on the time needed per case Work directly with the founder on sensitive legal issues we expect maturity and clarity, not fluff

How It Works

We'll either pay hourly (30-40/hour) depending on time needed per case (calls, drafting, etc) Or we'll define scope and agree a project-based fee you can accept/reject before we proceed Some months there may be no work, some months we may need quick turnaround on 2-3 cases This is a freelance engagement. You invoice us and keep full independence

What We're Looking For

UK-based paralegal, solicitor (non-practising is fine), or legal professional with 5+ years practical experience Deep understanding of tenancy/lettings contracts, rent enforcement, and consumer/business legal protections Ability to move fast, ask smart questions, and issue clear decisions You value precision over legalese. We want solid advice, not waffle You're not scared to say "this is risky, don't do it" and back it up with action
