An excellent opportunity has become available for a forward-thinking Legal Advisor to join the Kingfisher Group Legal Team on a 12-month FTC. Based in our Paddington office the role sits within the Offer & Sourcing Goods for Resale Legal Team and you'll act as a commercially orientated legal business partner to the brand and global sourcing functions, particularly the brand, content creation and digital, social media teams and sourcing teams.
What's the job?:
Provision of robust, legally accurate, commercially oriented advice to the Group's brand and sourcing teams in relation to:
+ business to consumer marketing materials and agency/influencer engagements in respect of marketing on products, at point of sale and online to ensure compliance with applicable law, regulations and best practice; and
+ general commercial contracts.
Coordinate and deliver training updates to the business on key legal and compliance matters, best practice and applicable processes.
Utilise the established contract management system and find opportunities for streamlining processes / automation that will optimally support stakeholders to self-serve.
Provide support in implementing designated compliance initiatives.
What you'll bring:
England & Wales / commonwealth qualified lawyer with minimum 2 years PQE
Prior experience required relating to business to consumer marketing contracts and/or digital and social media agency/influencer/content creator engagements
Prior experience of sustainability / green claims best practice would be an advantage
Prior in-house experience desirable (preferably in a large-branded multinational and/or branded retailer or FMCG environment)
Strong drafting experience
Proven negotiation and business partnering skills
Ability to speak any of the following languages would be helpful but is not required - French, Polish, Spanish, Portuguese, Cantonese, Mandarin or Turkish.
