Legal Assistant - Asset Based Lending

Our client is seeking a motivated Legal Assistant to join their Asset Based Lending (ABL) team in Manchester. You'll play a key role in supporting transactions from start to finish, managing documentation, and liaising with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone with a transactional paralegal/legal support background who is looking to step into the busy and rewarding world of ABL.

The Role:

Day-to-day, your responsibilities will include:

Managing client onboarding and file openings Drafting and reviewing security documentation Supporting on refinancing, acquisition finance, and secured lending matters Handling security registrations, removals, and Companies House searches Assisting with post-completion administration Supervising and supporting junior paralegals where needed General team support and ad-hoc duties as required

About You:

We're looking for someone who has:

Experience in a transactional legal environment (banking, finance, corporate, real estate finance, or securitisation) Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation A proactive approach, able to use initiative and remain calm under pressure Genuine interest in commercial law and finance with a desire to develop
