Key Duties
Support the preparation and submission of legal documents related to military hearing loss claims, ensuring adherence to court procedures and statutory deadlines.
Organise and maintain detailed case files (electronic and physical), often involving service records, audiology reports, and witness statements.
Conduct legal and factual research relevant to military NIHL claims, including MoD policies, case precedents, and medical standards.
Liaise with clients (primarily ex-military personnel), audiologists, and third-party experts to gather documentation, clarify case details, and provide updates.
Schedule medical assessments, client interviews, and court appearances, efficiently managing attorney calendars.
Draft letters, claim forms, and other legal correspondence with accuracy and professionalism.
Track billable time and assist with invoice preparation and financial documentation for each case.
Uphold the strictest confidentiality standards when handling veterans' personal and medical information.
Experience & Skills
Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a legal/administrative role is
preferred but not mandatory
.

Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of sensitive cases simultaneously.
Empathy and professionalism when communicating with former military personnel and clients with medical challenges.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems.
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess information critically and contribute meaningfully to legal strategies.
