Job Introduction
Employment, Education and Litigation Team advise on complex employment matters, special educational needs, education law, civil litigation, prosecutions, information governance and elections law.
We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our experienced legal team. The role will include preparation of documents and statement and court bundles, liaising with the client, the courts and other parties and experts, updating legal databases, assisting with the process of invoices, note and minute taking where required. Some knowledge of legal practice and procedures will be of benefit to the role as well as the ability to demonstrate an ability to work within a pressured professional environment. The work is sensitive, confidential, and often complex in nature. You should be able to act under pressure in the face of competing demands arising from urgent situations and be able to interpret and communicate information effectively, use a range of complex IT packages and work to tight deadlines.
Candidates will need to have administrative experience, ideally in a legal environment and be able to demonstrate excellent IT, communication, and organisational skills.
Candidates will also need GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualification.
