We are seeking a proactive Legal Assistant to support our legal team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This role involves assisting with various administrative tasks, including reception duties and ensuring the smooth operation of this small but busy office, and contributing to the overall efficiency of legal processes.
Responsibilities
Assist lawyers in preparing legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and pleadings.
Assist to support case preparation and legal strategies.
Maintain and organise case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters, providing exceptional customer service.
Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meetings for the legal team.
Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, document management, and correspondence.
Assist in billing processes and maintain accurate records of time spent on various cases.
Skills
Strong skills to assist in case preparation.
Excellent customer service abilities to effectively communicate with clients and other Organisations.
Prior administrative experience would be of benefit but is not essential as training will be provided to manage office tasks efficiently.
Exceptional organisational skills to maintain order in a busy legal environment.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
