About the Role:
As a
Legal Assistant
, you'll be part of a small, dedicated team supporting our passionate lawyers. Reporting to the Principal Lawyer, you'll:
Assist with routine legal matters and fast-paced ad hoc queries.
Prepare bundles and draft applications, consent orders, and other legal documents.
Support casework by liaising with colleagues, chambers, and external stakeholders.
Help with the processing of fee notes and billing matters.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and organised professional to gain broad legal experience in a dynamic local authority environment.
About You:
We're looking for someone who is:
. Qualified
- you've completed the LPC, or passed both SQE1 and SQE2.
. Experienced
- you have knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas: safeguarding, planning, property, contracts, or litigation.
Organised & adaptable
- able to work flexibly and at pace.
Team-focused
- ready to collaborate with colleagues across the service.
Experienced
(advantageous) - you've supported legal teams before, including work with chambers and fee notes.
