We have an opportunity for an
Legal Assistant
to join their team of staff in the Legal department.
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
Notify relevant insurers of new claims and incidents.
Provide regular updates on claim developments and patient condition.
Process legal invoices including those from external law firms, expert witnesses, and for costs/damages settlements.
Maintain and update the legal payments tracker.
Draft board meeting minutes for various companies across the Circle Health Group.
Maintain statutory records and support Companies House compliance tasks.
Manage incoming and outgoing post for the legal team.
Provide general administrative support to the legal team, including document handling, diary management, and meeting coordination.
Ensure full compliance with all CHG policies, GDPR, legal and confidentiality standards.
Act as a key contact point for legal administration within the organisation.
Provide flexibility and support to colleagues across the Legal and Risk functions when needed.
Maintain personal CPD, attend training sessions, and stay up to date with legal process developments.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Experience working in a legal or regulated corporate environment.
Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with high attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Confidentiality awareness and ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
High standard of professionalism, accuracy, and discretion.
Paralegal qualification or legal studies background (e.g. LLB, LPC, CILEx) desirable but not essential
