Job Description

An excellent opportunity for someone to join our Practice as a Legal Assistant has arisen.

The successful applicant would work directly with the Managing Partner, assisting with Commercial Property Transactions and advising and documenting Wills.

The applicant should have completed a law degree and preferably have passed the LPC or have 6 months of relevant experience in a solicitors firm.

DW Solicitors is a well-established Solicitors practice providing a broad range of legal services.

The applicant would be expected to undertake training courses, sometimes in their own time, to ensure that they maintain or procure the required knowledge and experience.

DW Solicitors was formed in 2001 and prides itself on having a very friendly team and a good rapport with clients, other solicitors, and local agents.

Responsibilities and Duties

The applicant would be required, after training, to manage their own workload.

Generally liaising with clients, agents and other solicitors.

Maintaining files and keeping them up to date.

Provide regular updates to clients and senior staff.

Dealing with enquiries regarding new work.

Qualifications and Skills

The applicant must be enthusiastic and friendly, and able to work as part of a team.

Be amenable to undertaking training

Have good typing and administrative skills.

The applicant should have the ability to be able to work with (if necessary, after training) minimal supervision and be able to work with attention to detail.

The applicant should have relevant experience or a law qualification and ideally have completed the LPC.
