We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team in the Private Client department.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and organisational skills, along with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role is essential in supporting our head of department by managing various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our office.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
Conduct research and analysis to support case preparation and legal proceedings.
Maintain organised records and files, both electronic and paper-based, for easy retrieval.
Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters, providing excellent customer service.
Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meetings for legal staff.
Draft correspondence and reports as required, demonstrating strong written communication skills.
Assist with billing and invoicing processes to ensure timely payments.
Qualifications
Proven administrative experience within a legal environment is preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate information critically.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Exceptional customer service skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with legal software is advantageous.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
