We're expanding our high-performing team and are looking for motivated Legal Assistants with a strong interest in complex, life-changing personal injury claims. Responsibilities



As a

Legal Assistant

you will provide litigation and administrative support to serious injury fee earners Draft legal documents and correspondence with increasing independence Instruct medical experts and liaise with third-party agencies and providers Manage client communication and help progress claims via the MoJ Portal or direct insurer channels Organise and obtain vital case records (e.g. medical, employment, police reports) Support case preparation for hearings, conferences, and expert meetings Maintain accurate records in Proclaim and ensure SRA-compliant client care Help maximise recovery of associated costs while prioritising client outcomes

Skills and Experience



Understanding of serious injury litigation procedures (Part 7, MoJ Portal, and Part 8 processes) Experience supporting or progressing personal injury claims Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills Proactive mindset and willingness to learn and grow within a legal team Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure Commitment to teamwork, compliance, and client service excellence Proficiency in case management systems (Proclaim experience desirable)

Working Hours



This role is Full Time based on 37.5 hours per week. The Working Pattern for this role is usually Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm. We are also fully office based in Byker, Newcastle.
