We are a small, friendly, and supportive team that values each person's contribution, and we're currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our growing Private Client team.

About the Role



In this role, you will provide direct support to the lead fee earner in the Private Client team, working on matters including Wills, Probate, Trusts, and Lasting Powers of Attorney. You'll be instrumental in helping ensure the smooth running of the caseload, maintaining high standards of client care and administrative efficiency.

Responsibilities



Provide direct administrative and legal support to the lead fee earner Assist in preparing legal documents such as wills, probate applications, LPAs, and trusts Draft letters, forms, and bills using templates and precedents under supervision Maintain and organise client files, legal records, and documentation Schedule appointments, manage diaries, and coordinate meetings Respond to client enquiries in person, by phone, and via email in a friendly and professional manner Carry out general administrative duties such as file opening, scanning, photocopying, archiving, and post management Prepare and dispatch correspondence and legal documents Assist with reception duties and initial client enquiries as required Support the preparation of materials for meetings and client appointments Conduct occasional legal research and provide ad-hoc support as needed

Experience



While prior experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Paralegal within a Private Client team is an advantage, it's not essential. If you bring the right attitude, strong organisational skills, and a willingness to learn, we're committed to providing the training and support you need to succeed A professional and approachable manner with strong communication skills High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work Confidence using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills within the legal field.
