Job Description

The Role:

An exciting Part Time opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our fantastic accounts team based at our Pillory Street, Nantwich Office.

The role of Legal Cashier will suit somebody who is a strong team player with (preferably) hands on experience of transactional accounting processes within the legal sector.

The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, a positive and friendly personality and the ability to manage time, productivity and quality of work with minimum supervision.

Key Responsibilities



Monitoring Client & Office Accounts and allocating funds received Dealing with CHAPS, BACS, Cheque payments & transfers between accounts Taking card payments and reconciling end of day reports Resolving accounts queries raised by fee earners & other staff Assisting other members of the accounts team where necessary Checking & processing bills & completion statements Daily Banking Managing Petty Cash transactions

Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision Copes effectively with varied and demanding circumstances Good time management and flexible approach to work Pays attention to detail and quality of work Strong Analytical & Numerical Skills Demonstrates persistence and commitment to completing tasks and objectives Demonstrates a commitment to improving working practices and supports company plans and policies Proficiency with Case Management Software & Microsoft Office Programs (Excel & Word) Ability to build and maintain working relationships with others and is seen as 'approachable' Operates effectively as part of a team

Communication Skills



Able to express oneself both orally and in writing in a clear and constructive way. Willing to ask questions, listen to others views and accept advice. Willing to contribute ideas and seek improvements. Good client / Introducer / supplier handling skills both by telephone and face to face.

Working Hours:

Fixed Days - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8.45am to 5.00pm (21.75 Hours a week)

Holidays:

20 days inclusive of bank holidays (33 days FTE)

Salary:

14,400 - 17,400 (24,000 - 29,000 FTE) dependent on experience
