We're working with a respected law firm based in Chester to recruit a Legal Cashier to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a supportive, values-driven firm with a strong reputation across a range of legal services.

The firm is seeking someone with at least six months experience in legal cashiering who is confident working within the SAR's, and enjoys a varied, hands-on role. You'll be part of a friendly finance team, working closely with the Legal Cashier Team Lead and supporting the wider practice with essential financial operations.

Key Responsibilities of a Legal Cashier

Monitoring and allocating receipts across client and office accounts Processing online payments including Faster Payments, CHAPS, and SWIFT Liaising with banks to resolve queries and ensure smooth transactions Managing payroll and related tax/pension tasks for client matters Reconciling credit card, debit card, and cheque control accounts Processing client bills, expenses, and supplier invoices Recording property completions and ensuring correct VAT treatment Supporting residual balance checks and other ad hoc finance tasks

What We're Looking For in a Legal Cashier

Minimum 6 months experience as a Legal Cashier Solid understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills Organised, reliable, and a strong team player
