Part-time or Full-time Legal Cashier - Permanent Position

We have a long established and highly respected business specialising in our core areas of property, private client and employment law.

As a result of a pending retirement an opportunity has arisen for a full-time or part-time legal cashier to join our firm. The successful candidate will work alongside outsourced cashier support which we use to ensure that our staff have adequate support and capacity.

As a firm we pride ourselves in providing a professional, high quality service while at the same time giving a friendly personal touch, and the position will suit applicants who believe in those values. Experience with Scottish solicitors' accounts is essential, as are communication and IT skills. The responsibilities of the role include opening accounts files, maintaining accounts, inputting of accounts information, monthly reconciliations, month-end checks, quarterly/annual VAT returns, banking and payments, petty cash, invoicing and credit control, closing accounts files, and related matters.

Salary will be based upon hours and experience. We are able to offer reasonable flexibility on hours to suit the right candidate.
