Legal Cashier
. This role is based at their stunning Edinburgh HQ with panoramic views of the City Centre where you will join a highly accomplished, dynamic and experienced team.

Role Profile:
The Legal Cashier will report directly to the Head Cashier and will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the Cashroom function. Responsibilities will include allocating payments to fees, reconciling client balances, processing office and client payments, and recording financial transactions accurately and efficiently. Further highlights of the role and key duties, include, but are not limited to:
Review & set up all electronic payment types on the firms various banking platforms
Thoroughly review all payments to ensure compliance with AML requirements prior to processing
Process a wide variety of accounting transactions to the financial management system
Opening, closing & day to day transactional movement of client designated accounts
Review, Raise and pay in-cheques
Cash & Receipt allocations
Daily bank reconciliations, including matching, batching & returning unallocated funds
Provide support on an ad-hoc basis during the completion of the firms annual audit cycle
Person Specification:
Proven experience within a Cashroom environment
Exposure to a high-volume and/or busy finance environment
Knowledge & understanding of current HMRC, VAT & AML regulations would be highly beneficial
SOLAS qualified desirable but not essential
Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills
Previous experience with legal software
Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel & Outlook
