Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Legal Cashier to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the legal firm's accounting functions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in legal finance. We are looking for a team player with the ability to work under pressure showing commitment to your colleagues and the Firm in general.

Shared Duties



Responsible for the safety of yourself, and others. Ensuring that there is an open and inclusive environment within the firm. To be supportive to all fellow colleagues and always speak in good faith. Complete all training set by the firm and to remain up to date with qualifications for own job role. To support and work towards the business objectives and budgets. To ensure confidentiality and security of all practice and clients documentation and/or information and to report any GDPR breaches without delay. To assist team members with their work, particularly during holidays and absence periods and lunch breaks Report any suspicious activity to our MLO without delay. And any such other task which may reasonably be required.

Principle duties, tasks and responsibilities



Full remit of Client and Office Account cashiering duties, timely and accurate processing of all data Compliance with SRA Accounts Rules Full remit of Client and Office Account cashiering duties, timely and accurate processing of all data Bank reconciliations Client to office transfers Legal aid Petty cash Reporting to Head of Accounts General administrative duties, including maintaining efficient filing systems, management of accounts email inbox.
Being familiar with a case management system is preferable. Access Legal Case Management is ideal. Experience of Legal Accounts is also preferable.

Pay: From 28,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 28 - 37.5 per week
