We are seeking a Legal Cashier to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and internal policies. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Duties Include
Processing daily client and office account transactions in compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
Managing incoming and outgoing payments, including BACS, CHAPS, and cheque transactions.
Reconciling client and office bank accounts.
Monitoring and maintaining accurate financial records.
Assisting with month-end and year-end financial procedures.
Liaising with fee earners and clients to resolve financial queries.
Supporting the Finance Manager as required.
Key Requirements
Minimum 2 years prior accounts experience including sales and purchase ledgers, preferably within a law firm but not essential.
Good knowledge of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules would be advantageous.
Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
Proficient in using accounting software together with practical knowledge and use of IT systems including MS Word and Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills together with an organised and methodical approach to working.
A reliable and self-motivated individual who can work as part of a professional, friendly team.
