Reports to:
Accounts Manager
Overview of role
To provide legal cashier support in managing the office and client accounts.
Key Responsibilities
To support the operation of the firms accounting system;
To ensure that all banking is done daily as directed;
To enter postings to the accounts system on a daily basis;
To assist in the entering of bills;
To execute Telegraphic Transfers;
To ensure that all invoices are dealt with in a timely manner;
To assist with overdue client balances;
To review and monitor aged debtors;
To carry out vigorous checks when sending money by TT;
To manage own work allocation, productivity and quality of work with minimum supervision;
To carry out any other duties required by the Accounts Manager.
Experience Required
Essential
Recent practical experience in a Legal Cashier role.
Experience of working in a legal environment.
Working knowledge of accounting principles.
Working knowledge of credit control.
Working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules.
