The role



To play a key role in supporting the smooth financial operations of a busy legal firm. As a Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for handling client and office transactions, ensuring full compliance with Solicitors' Accounts Rules (SAR) and contributing to the efficient day-to-day running of the accounts function.

You can expect to be involved in:

Processing client and office account transactions in line with SAR and internal procedures

Bank reconciliations for client and office accounts

Managing incoming and outgoing payments, including BACS, CHAPS, and cheque payments

Allocating funds, posting disbursements, and ensuring timely payment of invoices

Handling transfers between client and office accounts with accuracy and compliance

Liaising with fee earners regarding financial queries and supporting matter management

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: from 26,500

What we're looking for



Previous experience in a Legal Cashier or similar finance role within a law firm

Sound knowledge of Solicitors' Accounts Rules (SAR) and legal accounting procedures

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload

Confident communication skills and a collaborative approach

Proficiency with legal accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
