Legal Cashier Role Overview
An excellent opportunity for a Legal Cashier to join a leading Manchester based law firm. You will be joining busy accounts team, and will be responsible for all cashiering duties jointly with and reporting into the Legal Cashier Team Leader.
Legal Cashier Responsibilities:

• Monitoring the main Client and Office bank accounts and allocating receipts
• Making online payments through Office and Client accounts.
• Responding to email instructions from across the firm to set up/modify recurring transactions and resolve queries relating to our 800 individual deputy client bank accounts
• Liaising with our banks to resolve any payment concerns or issues
• Depositing and withdrawing funds from external deposit accounts
• Downloading HMLR statements to process through the Office account
• Monitoring and applying the charges on the firm's general credit cards, deputy debit cards and cheque control accounts
• Banking and recording cheques into the appropriate account
• Checking property completion statements against client ledgers
• Checking and processing bills
• Posting and paying staff expenses and supplier ledger

Legal Cashier Experience Required

• Previous experience in a Legal Cashier or similar finance role within a law firm
• Sound knowledge of Solicitors' Accounts Rules (SAR) and legal accounting procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
• Confident communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Proficiency with legal accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
