We have a new permanent opportunity for a full-time
Legal Cashier (Finance Assistant)
to join the Finance Team in our Newbury office. Working as part of the cashiering support function, the ideal candidate will have previous legal accounting experience and an understanding of compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
You will deal with a variety of financial transactions including, but not limited to:
processing payments
recording and reconciling receipts
analysing and processing client invoices
reconciliations and reporting

The Role
As a member of the Finance Team providing general support, your role will focus on legal cashiering and will include:
Verifying and processing bank payments and receipts
Bank reconciliations & transfers
Accurately completing financial transactions related to residential property matters
Analysing and processing client invoices
Recording disbursement invoices
Processing card payments
Client interest posting
Dealing with incoming Finance post, emails and telephone calls
Periodic reporting and monitoring of financial transactions to ensure compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules, including File Reviews and Client Balances Reviews
Excellent numeracy skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good time management skills with a clear ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy
Ability to communicate at all levels with staff, clients and professional contacts
Strong team player who can build effective and trusting relationships with clients and colleagues
Excellent PC skills, including MS Office & internet banking
