Legal Cashier - Build Your Own Function from the Ground Up

Location:

Market Deeping or Leicester (Hybrid available after qualifying period)

Salary:

27,000 - 31,000 + benefits

W & P Legal isn't just another law firm. We're a growing, ambitious business with a clear vision - and we're creating our very first in-house Legal Cashier role. This is your chance to take ownership, shape the function from scratch, and put your mark on the way we handle our finances for years to come.

You won't be "just processing transactions" here. You'll be working directly with our COFA (who is also our Managing Director) to design and run a slick, compliant, and future-proof cashiering function.

You will have experience of Xero Accounting and LEAP and CLIO Case management systems.

What you'll be doing:

Designing and managing all day-to-day cashiering processes from the ground up. Ensuring every transaction complies with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules. Handling client and office account transactions, reconciliations, and reporting. Acting as the go-to person for all financial queries, from fee-earners to the leadership team. Driving improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

What we're looking for:

Proven experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm. In-depth knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules - you know them inside out. Confidence to take ownership and make decisions. Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-driven approach. A collaborative mindset - you'll be working closely with senior leadership and fee-earners.
