We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Legal Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with various accounting software. As a Legal Cashier, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records within a legal environment. Solicitors accounts knowledge is essential.
Duties
Process and record all financial transactions accurately using accounting software such as LEAP and Xero.
Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as required.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to financial transactions.
Handle client funds in accordance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) guidelines.
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations within the firm.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar accounting role within the legal sector is preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software such as LEAP and Xero is essential.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
