Job Description
Legal Cashier, Taunton, xc2xa325,000+ (DOE) - This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to play a vital part in supporting the firm's day-to-day financial operations and ensuring compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules. JOB REF:9981.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process client and office account transactions with accuracy and timeliness
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure ledgers are up to date and error-free
- Issue invoices, manage payments, and chase overdue balances
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with bookkeeping reviews
- Produce daily and monthly financial reports and support month/year-end processes
- Submit VAT returns through HMRC's portal
- Liaise with fee earners, support staff, external auditors, suppliers, and banking providers
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with legal accounting software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity
