I'm currently working with a well-established law firm in the Wilmslow area who are looking to add an experienced Legal Cashier to their accounts team on a full-time, office-based basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable and supportive firm with a strong local presence, offering a long-term, stable role for someone with experience in legal finance.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the firm in line with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR), ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all transactional processes.
Key Responsibilities:

• Processing client and office account transactions
• Daily bank reconciliations
• Handling incoming/outgoing payments, CHAPS, and BACS
• Assisting with month-end and year-end accounts
• Posting disbursements, bills, and expenses
• Ensuring compliance with SAR and AML requirements
• Liaising with fee earners and other departments to resolve queries
• Supporting the wider finance team and management as required

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm is essential
• Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)
• Confident with legal accounting systems (e.g., Proclaim, Leap, or similar)
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A proactive and team-oriented attitude
