Job Description

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join a dynamic in-house legal team in Liverpool. This permanent role offers the chance to work across a variety of commercial contracts and risk management issues within a leading food and agriculture Group. Ideal for a solicitor with 2-4 years PQE looking to progress in-house.
The Legal Counsel will be:

Managing a broad range of commercial contracts, including supplier and distribution agreements, NDAs.
Providing proactive legal support on commercial risk and compliance matters
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure legal and regulatory standards are met
Advising on day-to-day commercial issues impacting the Group business
Supporting key projects and transactions to drive business success

The Legal Counsel should be:

A solicitor or equivalent with 2-4 years PQE in commercial law
Experienced in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts
Comfortable advising on risk and compliance in a commercial setting
Able to work independently and build strong stakeholder relationships
Familiar with the food, agriculture, or FMCG sectors (desirable but not essential)
