A vacancy has arisen in our Global Documentation Team in London for a lawyer / experienced master agreement negotiator. The role will involve drafting master agreement documentation, negotiating with counterparties, and advising with respect to law and regulation. You will play an active role in helping the business manage legal, regulatory and reputational risk as well as facilitating new business for the bank and achieving capital savings through CRR recognition of credit risk mitigation techniques such as netting and collateral enforceability.

Your key responsibilities



Drafting/negotiating a variety of master agreements and ancillary documentation, including but not limited to ISDAs, CSAs, GMRAs, GMSLAs, cleared derivatives documentation and related collateral arrangements with external clients from a wide range of jurisdictions globally Supporting the Sales & Trading business pipeline to ensure timely negotiation of prioritised matters, manage own caseload and any ad hoc legal queries on new or existing master agreement arrangements Providing legal advice on Deutsche Bank policy to key internal stakeholders such as Credit, Collateral Management, Derivatives Funding, Treasury, Group Tax and the relevant business line Conducting due diligence, including instructing external counsel if needed, through review of relevant constitutional documents relating to capacity/authority of counterparty and support the internal netting process and collateral enforceability analysis Assisting with master agreement development work, such as templates, updating user guides and policy changes

Your skills and experience



Qualified as a solicitor, barrister, CILEX or foreign equivalent or with master agreement experience (e.g. master agreements such ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA and cleared derivatives documentation) in either private practice or in-house The ability to work independently and as part of an inter-disciplinary team with collegiate approach to progressing matters Excellent verbal and written communication skills, legal analytical skills and problem-solving ability with a high level of professionalism and the ability to collaborate cross-departmentally at all levels, within and outside the Bank A willingness to be versatile and develop knowledge about different departments within the Bank A team player with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to develop strong working relationships The ability to establish priorities, multi-task and coordinate work activities simultaneously and to work with a high volume of complex legal documentation under significant time pressure
