The Offshore transactions department is a diverse, skilled team that supports offshore wind turbine sales in Northern & Central Europe. We are now looking to add a Legal Counsel who will act as Specialist for Offshore Transactions in the NCE region.
Responsibilities
In this role, your main responsibilities will be
To partner with the NCE offshore sales department to negotiate offshore wind transactions
Review and analyse tender documents issued by international clients, and identify and help address legal/contractual risks
Draft, review and negotiate turbine sales contract, usually based on FIDIC yellow book, as well as long term service agreements
Manage the support of external legal firm
Support the contract management and project management teams during the execution phases of transactions
Find ways to optimize the way in which we do business, help develop and improve templates, refine company policies and processes, and apply best practices
Qualifications
Law degree
At least 5 years of experience as a transactional lawyer from either an international large-sized company or an international law firm
Previous experience from the renewables sector
Experience negotiating FIDIC contracts
Knowledge of handling complex contract structures
Fluency in spoken and written English
Qualification in England or Scotland
Competencies
Good at handling complex contract structures under high pressure
Advanced communication skills
Effective stakeholder management (commercial, technical, management)
Strategic thinking and a proactive approach
Thriving in a varied and fast-paced environment
