Legal Counsel - Commercial Contracts



Hybrid working: we spend 2 days together a week, with this role based in our Manchester, Spinningfields office.


Help households save money, and become a member of our in-house legal team.

We're now looking for a dedicated

Legal Counsel specialising in Commercial Contracts

to join our dynamic legal team. If you're a commercially-minded solicitor or barrister with the ability to translate complex contracts into business-savvy outcomes, we want to hear from you!


What you'll be doing:



Draft the deals that drive our business:

from B2B partnerships to supplier agreements and affiliate marketing contracts, you'll draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of high-impact commercial agreements.

Be a key legal partner across the Group:

work closely with our procurement, commercial, and data protection teams to support innovation and deliver smart, compliant solutions.

Lead with knowledge:

take ownership of our contract training initiatives and ensure our precedents stay sharp, relevant, and ready for action.

Own our contract lifecycle:

keep things running efficiently through the management of our Docusign Contract Management System.

Tackle customer challenges with confidence:

advise on customer-facing legal issues and help resolve queries and complaints with clarity and care.

Get the best from external counsel:

manage external legal advisors and translate complex advice into practical, business-friendly guidance.

Make your mark across the business:

contribute to legal training, governance reporting, and key cross-functional projects that shape how we work and grow.

What you'll bring to the role:



You're a

UK-qualified solicitor or barrister

with strong experience in commercial contract drafting. You've got a proven

grasp of commercial law and data protection

and you know how to apply that knowledge in a practical, business-focused way. You're confident drafting and negotiating contracts that hold up to scrutiny and support commercial success. You're a

natural communicator

who can engage with colleagues at every level and make complex legal issues easy to understand. You're a

self-starter

who brings energy, initiative, and a positive attitude - but you also know the value of teamwork and collaboration. You're curious, commercially aware, and excited to

learn the business inside out

so you can make a real impact.

Nice-to-haves:



Experience working

in-house

and understanding how legal advice fits into the bigger business picture. Exposure to

marketing or technology contracts
