Job Description

We are seeking a Property Legal Counsel based in Northampton to join a leading UK house-building business. You'll be responsible for advising on commercial property, development, contract and leasing matters and working closely with stakeholders to support growth. The Property Legal Counsel will be:
Advising on commercial property transactions, developments, leases and licences
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex property-related contracts and agreements
Working with development, construction, finance and operations teams to align legal risk with business strategy
Ensuring compliance with regulatory, planning and property law obligations
Enhancing legal templates, policy and process for property/ development teams
Lead complex property and commercial law in a major house-builderStrong career development in a growing legal team
The Property Legal Counsel should be:
A solicitor or equivalent with solid experience in commercial property law and development work
Comfortable drafting and negotiating leases, licences, acquisitions/divestment's and development agreements
Skilled at advising operational teams on legal risk, regulatory issues and governance
A confident stakeholder communicator, adept at working with commercial, finance and construction teams
Commercially astute, detail-oriented and proactive in supporting growth initiatives
