Legal Engineer
at Summize, you'll be at the heart of that transformation working at the intersection of law and technology
This isn't a traditional legal role, it's a unique opportunity to combine your legal operations expertise with technical creativity to build powerful, scalable solutions that change how legal teams work every day.
With tailored training and mentoring from our expert team you'll quickly become an expert too in building, testing, and configuring AI-driven prompts for the Summize platform helping legal teams unlock the full potential of automation with accuracy and efficiency.
What You'll Do
Assisting in the set-up of the customer's Summize instance by creating and reviewing contract types, engineering AI prompts and configuring workflows.
Delivering on the scope of projects to a premium standard, consistently delivering on OKRs and targets.
Engaging with Summize customers; running training and empowering them in adoption of Summize.
Leveraging product expertise to deliver best-in-class training sessions to end users.
Deliver work against deadlines, leveraging AI and technology to streamline and standardise processes, ensuring work is of recognisable Summize standard.
Share innovative ideas with Customer Success & Implementation peers to enhance processes and improve the overall customer experience.
Attend daily Legal Engineering stand ups and report on work progress, blockers, or successful breakthroughs to the Legal Engineer Team Lead.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Law or a similar subject preferred; substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
Experience in legal operations, contract lifecycle management, implementation consulting, or a similar legal-tech-oriented role
An understanding of legal processes and how they can be optimized or automated
A passion for legal technology, AI, and innovative problem-solving
Strong analytical and solution-design skills
Excellent communication skills (you'll be working closely with customers and running training sessions)
Confidence working with digital tools, SaaS platforms, and possibly Microsoft Word plugins
A proactive, can-do mindset with the ability to learn fast, adapt quickly and take constructive feedback
Bonus points if you also have:
Previous experience with AI prompt engineering or legal AI platforms
Experience in customer onboarding or software implementation
Familiarity with systems such as HubSpot & Monday.com
