Our client is a leading Record Label based in London, we are seeking an experienced Business Affairs Executive to join the team We're looking for someone with the enthusiasm, passion and a can-do attitude.

Candidates must have a legal background (Qualified or nearly qualified Solicitor), be comfortable working on a wide variety of music-related agreements and have experience in drafting and closing recording and publishing agreements. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities



The position of Business Affairs Executive includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Draft, review, negotiate and manage a large volume of a variety of agreements for example, recording agreements, music publishing agreements, producer agreements, side artist agreements, sample license agreements, video production agreements, label waivers, independent contractor agreements, and non-disclosure agreements Effectively manage relationships with artists, artist management teams and attorneys on a worldwide basis Advise senior executives, A&R, finance, licensing, product management and marketing teams regarding contractual obligations and restrictions Counsel internal departments and senior management on day-to-day business and legal issues and strategies Balance, prioritise and coordinate a high volume of diverse and time-sensitive projects in a fast-paced environment

Minimum qualifications



Qualified or nearly qualified Solicitor in the UK or equivalent by experience Minimum 2 years of legal experience ideally in a record label, publishing company or related law practice Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills required
Ability to work within a fast-paced and constantly changing environment Self-motivated to work independently, with team support, to close business deals. Demonstrated commitment to completing tasks and objectives. Flexibility to work long and unpredictable hours as necessary. A team player, and one who is open to feedback and on-going self-development
