Overview
Our client, a global media organisation, is seeking a team of Legal Mail Analysts to support its legal operations team. This is a junior-level role, ideal for candidates with 2-4 years of relevant experience. The role will focus on the accurate routing, triage, and categorisation of legal correspondence in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with Legal Mail Project Managers and stakeholders to ensure efficient processing and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
*This hybrid role will involve up to 3 days in-office per week in London or Belfast*
Your Responsibilities

  • Review and categorise incoming legal mail promptly and accurately, ensuring handling aligns with company guidelines and legal requirements
  • Route correspondence to appropriate teams or individuals based on established workflows
  • Maintain precise records of all mail processing activities, using document management systems and workflow tools
  • Work closely with Legal Mail Project Managers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and communication
  • Escalate anomalies, issues, or complex cases for timely resolution
  • Support colleagues and contribute to shared team goals
  • Suggest improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in mail handling processes
  • Safeguard confidentiality and integrity of all legal correspondence
Skills & Experience
  • Legal degree or equivalent qualification is strongly preferred
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in legal operations, compliance, or administrative roles
  • Familiarity with document management systems, workflow tools, or platforms such as Salesforce is beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to process high volumes of work accurately
  • Data entry and record-keeping skills with a commitment to secure and accurate records
  • Basic understanding of legal terminology and concepts
  • Organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • IT literacy, including proficiency with Google Workspace and willingness to learn new systems quickly
  • Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Adaptability and ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

Location: Belfast or London (Hybrid, 3 days in office)
Duration: 6-month FTC
Grade: Senior Associate (junior level)
