Job Description

We are seeking a Legal Officer to join our Adults Community Law Team.

You will be expected to handle an interesting, varied and workload and play a key role in delivering a high quality legal service. What I might be doing?

  • You will provide administrative and paralegal support to a team of Adult Social Care lawyers.
  • You will engage in varied tasks from general administration, to advising (with appropriate supervision) on adult social care matters, including Court of Protection.
Essential requirements:
  • 4 GSCE passes (or equivalent) at grade C or above (previous GCSE grading system) grades 4 to 9 (current GCSE grading system) including English language and Maths or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Desirable - Experience of public law childcare work or adult social care.
  • You will be able to communicate effectively to establish productive relationships with a wide range of people, under potentially difficult and challenging circumstances.
  • You will be able to work effectively under tight timescales, with excellent organisation skills, and the aptitude to deal with challenging situations when they arise.
  • You will need to be a strong team player, flexible, enthusiastic and committed.
